Ingredients:

  • 1 box Elliotts Pasta and Italian Red Sauce Mix
  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1-6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 24 oz. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. basil flakes
  • 1/2 Tbls. Parsley flakes
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Brown the ground beef and drain well. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, sauce mix and 1/2 cup water to beef. Simmer for 10 minutes. Cook pasta according to directions; drain. Combine: cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, basil flakes and parsley flakes in a separate bowl. In a 2 quart casserole dish, layer 1/2 of the pasta, 1/2 of the meat mixture, 1/2 cottage cheese mixture, and 1/2 shredded mozzarella cheese. Continue with 1 more layer. Bake covered for 45 minutes at 350. Let cool for 10 minutes.
